Evanston Township High School District 202.
A district-wide partnership across two school years at a high-performing K–12 district, originating from a national equity conference and growing into full organizational transformation.
The engagement.
What Evanston Township High School District 202 was facing.
The partnership began after Dante King presented at a national conference hosted by The Privilege Institute, where he connected with Superintendent Dr. Marcus Campbell and School Board President Pat Savage-Williams. What started as a two-day experiential leadership retreat — historically rigorous and personally challenging — quickly demonstrated enough value to evolve into a district-wide partnership spanning the 2023–24 and 2024–25 school years.
