The Leadership Fellowship.

The Leadership Fellowship is a 10- to 16-week structured curriculum — institutions choose the length. It was first delivered as a 16-week program inside San Francisco's Department of Public Health Behavioral Health Services division, part of an 8,000-employee health department. The fellowship combines cohort training sessions with executive coaching, applied practice, and peer accountability.

Co-facilitation is required: a Black racial equity expert and a white accountability facilitator. The fellowship was co-facilitated by Dante King with senior accountability collaborators across multiple institutions, including Dr. Robin DiAngelo, who co-facilitated the Mayo Clinic accredited course (Developing Anti-Racism Leadership Competencies to Achieve Inclusive Practices and Health Equity). The curriculum is research-based, including frameworks rooted in the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond's Undoing Racism workshop, and refined through three years of embedded engagement.

Four cohorts at SFDPH BHS. 200+ participants to date. The engagement at SFDPH BHS received the California Medical Association's Cultural and Linguistic Competency & Implicit Bias Innovation Award, Overall Program.
