The Practice

Institutions don’t fail at strategy. They fail at the integration between assessment, leadership, policy, and accountability.

Three engagement shapes.

Most engagements take one of three forms. The shape determines the timeline, the scope, and the services pulled in.

0118–36 MONTHS

The cornerstone transformation.

Multi-year, multi-service, deep institutional change.

The cornerstone shape is the deepest engagement KOK delivers. It pulls together every service family — assessment, leadership development, coaching, policy, strategic planning, and a sustained fellowship cohort. Reserved for institutions ready for transformation rather than intervention. Typical scope: large public-sector and health-system organizations facing structural cultural challenges that require multi-year discipline to resolve.

Services typically involved
DIAGNOSE · BUILD · SUSTAIN — ALL FAMILIES

026–12 MONTHS

The crisis response.

After a regulatory finding, a board mandate, a public incident, or a leadership transition.

The crisis-response shape is for institutions facing acute exposure — regulatory findings, board mandates, public incidents, or executive turnover that has surfaced cultural failures requiring documented action. Pulls heavily from DIAGNOSE and BUILD: rapid organizational equity assessment, targeted capacity building, executive coaching for the leaders accountable, and policy work to harden the institutional response. The emphasis is defensibility — work that will hold up under regulator, board, and litigation review.

0360–90 DAYS

The single-issue intervention.

Focused work on one specific institutional question.

The single-issue shape is for institutions testing the practice or addressing a specific problem in isolation. A leadership retreat paired with executive coaching for a cabinet team facing a single high-stakes decision. A policy review paired with strategic planning around a specific regulatory requirement. A keynote paired with a half-day workshop to shift institutional understanding before deeper work begins. The shortest shape — but not the smallest in impact.

Consulting & Coaching for Safer, More Accountable Workplaces

I’m Dante King — an executive leadership, organizational development, and risk management consultant. For more than two decades, across some of the country’s largest institutions and public agencies, I’ve been the person organizations trust with their people. As a former Vice President, human resources leader, and cabinet-level executive — and an expert legal witness — I’ve seen how workplace harm begins, and I know how to help you prevent it. Now, through King of Kings Consulting, I bring that experience directly to you.

My work rests on one belief: people matter. Not as a slogan — as a starting point. When people are safe, respected, and supported, organizations perform. My mission is to equip, prepare, and propel organizations to perform at their best — by preventing discrimination and harassment, strengthening civil-rights compliance, and building cultures of accountability that reduce risk and bring out people’s best work.

Here’s how we can work together — from a single coaching conversation to a full organizational engagement.

Begin a conversation.

Sustained institutional change begins with a real conversation about scope, fit, and timing. We work with a small number of institutions per year.
